A personality test builds your assistant's profile in two minutes

A personality test builds your assistant's profile in two minutes

The hardest part of the setup is putting into words how the assistant should speak. Instead of an empty field there is now a test made of fifteen real situations.

The “System prompt” field is the most honest part of setting up an assistant and the most awkward. It asks you to spell out what usually lives in your head: how much detail to give, whether to admit not knowing, how to react to rudeness. The personality test removes the blank page.

How the test works

Fifteen questions, each a specific work situation with four possible reactions. Not an abstract “are you an outgoing person?” but “a client sent an unusual request that is not in your knowledge base — how would you most likely answer?”. If none of the options fit, you can write your own answer.

What it measures

Answers are sorted into five traits, each of which directly shapes the tone of the assistant's replies.

  • Openness — whether the assistant takes on an unusual phrasing or sticks to what it knows.
  • Conscientiousness — how carefully it checks the details before answering.
  • Sociability — how long and how lively its replies are.
  • Agreeableness — how it reacts to displeasure and sharp words.
  • Emotional stability — whether it keeps an even tone in a tense exchange.

The result is a setting, not a picture

What comes out is not “your personality type” but a ready assistant profile: a description of its character in ordinary sentences that drops straight into the system prompt. You can take it as it is or edit it — the test gives you a draft, not a verdict.

The profile is rebuilt every time you take the test again. If the assistant has started sounding wrong, retaking the test is faster than rewriting the prompt by hand.
